The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
